Profession - designer The concept of “design” is applicable to any type of human activity. That is why this profession exists in such a variety of types: printing designer (creating layouts, layout), phytodesigner (landscaping houses and offices, creating winter gardens), landscape designer (land improvement), interior designer (improving apartments and offices, increasing functionality and quality interior level), web designer (creating websites, banners), clothing designer (embodiment of current fashion trends), food designer (creating beautiful images of dishes for various menus and cookbooks), designer of prints for clothes, etc.

Fashion designer. Description of the profession. A fashion designer creates new models of clothing, underwear, shoes, accessories and hats. At the same time, the fashion designer needs to take into account fashion trends, gender and age characteristics and the needs of those who will “wear” their ideas, the climatic features of the region and the seasons. In Russia, the path from an aspiring fashion designer to a famous couturier is thorny and long; most designers consider their own career to be complete when they begin to receive orders for the production of model sketches. Those fashion designers who managed to make a brand out of their name and open a fashion house are engaged not only in creativity, but also in running a business and controlling the process of manufacturing branded products.

Required qualities: original, unconventional view of situations, objects; presence of imaginative thinking; the ability to see the finished product as a whole; communication skills; the ability to listen and hear the client’s request; creativity - the ability to approach any task creatively, generate ideas; perseverance - sometimes you have to redo the same thing several times; hard work - constant practice is necessary, this is the only way to hone skills; patience - even in case of failure, you should not give up, you need to move forward, no matter what, overcoming all the obstacles on your way.

Designer is one of the most prestigious and highly paid professions today. Of course, who else but designers make our lives more beautiful? And few people want to save on beauty.

A fashion designer is an inventor. He invents, proposes details of clothing models, accessories and artistic additions that did not exist before, and adapts them to everyday use. The ability to make a sketch that maximally embodies a flight of fancy, conveying the richness of fabrics, an unexpected silhouette or features of details is the basis of his work. When creating an original image or developing a style, the designer uses his own ideas or those proposed by couturiers at fashion shows. The main thing is the author's idea.

Demand. In modern life, every person wants and strives to be individual. A fashion designer can help him with this, so there was a need for his services. The fashion designer as an artist realizes his idea not only with paints on canvas, but also with the help of a variety of materials: scraps of fabric, braid, lace, belts and buckles, beads, seed beads and much more, sometimes unexpected, thereby carrying the aesthetic principle directly into our lives.

Slide 2

Designer.

The designer is the creator of the world around him. He strives to cover all spheres of life of a modern person, and he is interested not only in the appearance (shell) of objects, but also in their internal essence and functional relationship.

Slide 3

VARIETIES OF DESIGN

There are about 10 design directions and the same number of specializations in each of them. We will look at the most popular trends in modern design.

Slide 4

Industrial Design

(industrial design, object design, industrial design) - a branch of design, an area of artistic and technical activity, the purpose of which is to determine the formal qualities of industrially produced products, namely, their structural and functional features and appearance.

Slide 5

Landscape design

This is the creation of artificial and living ones, as well as the reconstruction of destroyed landscapes, decorative dendrology, landscaping of the environment and residential premises, and floristry.

Slide 6

Architectural design

Architectural design has more to do with the work of an architectural engineer than with the work of a designer. The qualification of an architect requires more knowledge than is provided by training in the specialty “Architectural Design”. Therefore, when choosing the profession of an architectural designer, it is worth assessing your strengths as an engineer. If you are not confident in yourself, you will have to take advanced training courses or study again, but this time to become an architect.

Slide 7

Clothes designer

Fashion industry worker. An extremely popular specialty, however, many specialists are faced with the fact that finding the best job in this field is very difficult, and sometimes almost impossible. You can earn good money, but the fame will most likely go to the brand owner.

Slide 9

What should a graphic designer know?

In order for sites to be not just a set of texts and photographs, but a real work of design art, it is necessary to study special programming languages such as Perl, JavaScript, php, etc., be able to work with Photoshop, understand text encodings, know markup languages (HTML and XML), as well as methods of representing graphics (vector and raster formats).

Slide 10

What is the job of a graphic designer?

To design a website or book, a designer uses photographs, texts, and graphics made by others. It is this division of labor that allows us to achieve the best result: the work is carried out with high quality material. The designer does not have to be a photographer or a text writer. To create "something" with a computer, you need to know "how" it is created. Moreover, modern computer programs provide a huge number of new opportunities, without knowing about which it is impossible to “design at the level”, to create a product that can compete with the best samples. Conclusion. A designer in any direction is a good profession. Some people think it's easy. This is not true... Not everyone can become a designer!

RESEARCH PROJECT

"My future profession"

Completed by: 4th grade student

Lutov Vitaly

Head: primary teacher

classes Kozel Vera Vladimirovna

2015-2016 academic year

Introduction.

Choosing a profession in the life of every person is a very responsible step. You need to approach this very seriously and thoroughly, because, one might say, you are choosing the work of your whole life. We choose our future profession based on our qualities, interests, and abilities.

What is a profession?

This is the information the Explanatory Dictionary gives us: “ Profession“This is a type of work activity, occupation that requires special theoretical knowledge and practical skills.”

There are countless wonderful professions in the world.

And glory and honor to every profession.

Today you are a schoolboy, and tomorrow you are a worker,

Artist, scientist, sailor or architect.

There is something for everyone,

Who takes work seriously from childhood.

Many people don’t know what they want to be, where they would like to work, but I have already decided on my life’s work. I want to be a designer.

The goal of the designer profession is to help people see the beauty in ordinary things, to make their lives brighter, more comfortable, and joyful.

In this project, I collected material about one of the most interesting, creative professions - designer. He showed what personal qualities are necessary for a person who chooses this profession. He described the types of activities of a designer, and also showed in which areas you can apply your professional skills. This project will help readers interested in this profession learn a lot of new and useful things for themselves.

“The designer is the creator of the world around him”

Objective of the project: preparation for choosing a future profession.

Project objectives:

  1. Collect information about this profession using different sources:

a) history of the profession and the first designers,

b) professions related to design.

2. Correlate the requirements of the profession with your own characteristics;

3. Introduce other children to the profession of designer.

Hypothesis:

- “The right choice of profession is a guarantee of success in life”;

- “The profession of a designer is complex and painstaking.”

Stages of work on the project:

Necessary equipment: Internet resources, encyclopedias, dictionaries, books.

History of the profession and the first designers.

The history of modern design is connected with the development of industrial production in the mid-19th century, when the need for design and artistic activity arose.

Soon, in the 20s of the 20th century, the first design schools appeared, which became a response to the massive need for specialists.

The word “design” appeared in the 16th century and was clearly used throughout Europe. The Italian expression “disegno intero” meant an idea born from the artist and inspired by God - the concept of a work of art.

The 1588 Oxford Dictionary gives the following interpretation of the word: “a plan or scheme conceived by a person for something to be carried out, the first sketch of a future work of art.”

The first designer Charles Frederick Worth is a bright name in a bright era...

And the British consider Christopher Dresser, an illustrious graduate of the National School of Design, to be the first designer. His works from the 1870s in the design of dishes, decorative ornaments, ceramic tiles, and jewelry, they were distinguished by functionality, elegance and a minimum of ornament.

If we consider that design originated with the advent of artist-inventors, then we need to remember Leonardo da Vinci. Sketching diagrams of building mechanisms, helicopters, diving bells, he used such a widespread design principle as layout. By combining known nodes and elements, the artist obtained new objects. A propeller with a vertical axis is a helicopter. A combination of levers and membranous wings - a flywheel, etc. Drawing was for him a tool for designing, depicting, representing something that did not yet exist. James Watt's drawings of the first steam engine can also be classified as design graphics. In the times of Peter the Great, Andrei Nartov, a Russian inventor and engineer, while developing designs for machine tools, tried to give them a more harmonious appearance.

Among the things we use, many have existed for more than one millennium. The material culture of Ancient Egypt or Antiquity is often called proto-design and is also included in the history of design. Of interest here are the most common, anonymous, everyday things, design principles and devices in which a beneficial effect is achieved with minimal means. For example: wheel, chair, shoes, clothes, weapons, writing instruments, hoes and shovels, axes. What all these things have in common with modern design objects is that they were created not for decoration, but to perform certain functions.

Professions related to design.

  • Print designer.
  • Interior designer.
  • Clothes designer.
  • Phytodesigner.
  • Web designer.
  • Landscape designer.

Print designer is a specialist who creates design layouts for a variety of printed products: posters, calendars, booklets, catalogues, business cards, book covers, packages and much more. This is an interesting job that requires not only creative abilities, but also knowledge of the specifics of preparing layouts for printing.

Interior designer is a professional specialist who has a special vision for seemingly completely ordinary things. This is an artist, sculptor, architect and art critic rolled into one. A person who will turn every, even the most banal thing, into a real work of art. A master who will create a unique little world in any room. Having the appropriate education, the necessary practical skills and a unique outlook, he will easily protect you from all the problems associated with the construction, redevelopment or arrangement of your home.

An apartment design carried out by a specialist will allow you to get exactly what you have dreamed of all your life. An experienced designer works interactively. Taking into account all your individual requirements and wishes, he will be able to draw up a detailed project in the shortest possible time, noting even the most seemingly insignificant details. The designer will definitely listen to you, carefully ask about the preferred style and functionality of each item, and select the optimal color scheme for the room or other premises. When planning a certain style in the interior, it is very important to adhere to its main accents. It’s difficult to do this without a designer, because most stylistic solutions have an incredible number of revealing elements.

Clothes designer- is an inventor. He comes up with clothing models, details, accessories. Invents and adapts them to our everyday life. Otherwise, no matter how beautiful and luxurious the ideas look, they will not be in demand. The names of Giorgio Armani and the design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are significant proof of this.

Phytodesigner- (phyto-plants, designer) compiling floral and plant compositions from cut plants and plants in pots.

Web designer- a specialist responsible for the structure and “face” of the site. The responsibilities of a web designer include creating a website layout, developing navigation, creating and optimizing all graphic elements - from simple buttons to interactive Flash banners. Maintaining a sense of proportion and a huge advertising component is the key to the success of a professional web designer.

Landscape designer deals with the design of the site, yard.

What should a designer be like?

What should I be able to do?

A designer is a broad term that describes a person who designs a variety of things. Design means creation, and be a designer- This means be a creative person in your chosen field of art.

The main goal of a person who has received the profession of a designer is rationalization, ordering, harmonization, and introducing aesthetics into a person’s objective environment.

The designer must actively use not only his intellectual and imaginative potential, but must also be able to masterfully handle the tools of labor (brushes, paints, scissors, drill, hammer, airbrush, computer, etc.).

Personal qualities:

The Designer profession is for those who like to create something new, who have creative thinking and can do the work accurately and efficiently. A designer helps people see beauty in seemingly ordinary things, making their lives brighter, more comfortable, and joyful. At the same time, he himself, realizing his abilities and talents, gets pleasure from it. He is able to influence the desires and mood of people (for example, an advertising designer, packaging designer, food designer, designer of books, newspapers, magazines) and even form their opinion on certain issues.

The more organized, observant, purposeful, efficient and patient a designer is, the greater his opportunity to become famous and popular (especially in the world of advertising, clothing design, and furniture).

Requirements of the profession for a person.

The profession of a Designer requires a person to be responsible, precise, accurate, and have a well-developed imagination. Only people with creative thinking, developed memory, and the ability to create new ideas can achieve success in this profession. A designer can work not only in the office, but also at home, on his own computer on which the necessary programs will be installed. Any mistake in design is not a problem - it can always be corrected. The designer has the opportunity to see the result of his work, receive

aesthetic pleasure from the process.

Working conditions.

Designers work with a large amount of equipment and printing machines, therefore, it is necessary to monitor visual hygiene and take breaks from work. The work surface should be well lit.

The organization of a specialist’s work can be individual or collective.

Conclusion.

In order to choose the right profession, you need to take into account your interests and inclinations. You can read about professions and educational institutions (where you can get the chosen profession) on the Internet, in booklets, or consult with your parents.

To be a designer you need knowledge of mathematics, drawing, as well as a little imagination and courage in experiments, which I really love. Designing things is very exciting and interesting, but, of course, it takes a lot of effort and time, because you are given a task, and sometimes you carry it out under very harsh conditions, so it is imperative to have such qualities as hard work and diligence. Becoming a designer is not easy. In the classic version, you just need to enter the desired university and study for n number of years. But no teacher will make you an excellent professional if you do not work hard yourself, acquiring knowledge through your own labor. I believe that my qualities are fully consistent with the profession, and I think that I will become a first-class specialist in my field.

In my profession, I would like to be successful, enjoy it, help people strive for change, strive for the best. This is why I chose this profession. This is a very delicate matter - to catch the customer’s thoughts, to make his dreams come true, so you need to work, work and work again.

Doing this project helped me decide exactly who I want to be. Already now I am thinking about my future fate. I am a good student, I want to successfully graduate from school, which will allow me to enter a university and get a profession. And my profession is my future!

Design, designer and fashion designer

Originally the word "design" appeared in the 16th century, and became widespread in the mid-19th century in Europe due to the development of production and technology.

In the USSR, the profession of designer became widespread in the second half of the 20th century, but in order to adapt the profession to Soviet ideology, the word "design" replaced by "artistic design".

The end of the 20th century and the 21st century brought many changes, the USSR collapsed, and in Russia everything changed, many new prospects opened up. Today, the profession of a designer is in great demand; we have many different designers, including those who deal with clothing. Along with clothing designers, a profession more familiar to previous generations remains « fashion designer» , and for many there is no difference in the work of a designer and fashion designer.

Profession name « fashion designer» exists exclusively in the Russian tradition; in other countries the definition of designer is accepted. But meanwhile, these two professions not only have different names, they solve different problems. Fashion designer models clothes, and the designer designs it. In order to feel the difference, let's understand these two concepts.
